Welcome to our church website!
FBT is an independent Baptist church located in Clay, WV; we are about 40 miles from Charleston up Interstate 79. We are dedicated to the Lord Jesus Christ and His Word.
We exist for three reasons. If you see that you believe in these purposes, then our church would make a wonderful home for you and your family. If you really want to know what FBT is all about, you need to remember we are striving together for these three things:
1. Exalting Christ
Colossians 1:12-22 "...his dear Son..in whom we have redemption through his blood...he is before all things...he is the head of the body, the church...that in all things he might have the preeminence..."
We believe in exalting Christ by preaching and teaching God's Word.
2. Encouraging Believers
Acts 20:32 "And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified."
We believe it is God's desire to build strong, spiritual homes composed of strong, spiritual individuals. God desires to give His children good gifts, and we mean to encourage one another to live in a way that God can bless and mold us for His glory!
3. Evangelize the Lost
1 Corinthians 9:16 "For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!"
We believe we are indebted by Christ's death to give every man the gospel.
We are here to serve the Lord our God, and serve you to His glory! Will you come serve Him with us? Come and see what the Lord is doing at Fairview!
